Bitterness – We have all experienced it, in different forms and in different occasions. Jonah too, was bitter; he was bitter with the Ninevites and bitter with God. Bitterness seeks our downfall as it blindsides us from the real problem. – Unforgiveness.
God often brings about storms to reveal the conditions of our unforgiving hearts, to lead us to real repentance. It is in the midst of the storm that we begin to understand real grace – unmerited favor from an obligated God. It is that grace that will cut through our unforgivenss and break the chains of our bitterness.
